What are my options for downloading files from Sage?

1. Download using the Sage Download Manager
  • Allows you to pause and restart a download
  • Increases the speed of the download by downloading multiple segments at one time
  • Allows you to resume a download from where it left off in the event of a connection failure

What are the browser requirements for using the Sage Download Manager?

The Sage Download Manager is currently supported on Internet Explorer 6 and above and Firefox 1.0 and above. Firefox 1.0 and above require that you have the Microsoft .NET 3.5 Service Pack 1 installed on your computer.

If you are using a browser that is incompatible with the Sage Download Manager, you will be given an alternate option to download the file.

Are there any Internet or system settings that may need to be adjusted so I can download files from the Internet?

You may need to adjust the following settings when downloading a file using the Sage Download Manager:

If you have a firewall or anti-virus software installed: You may have to temporarily disable your computer's firewall settings. Please refer to the documentation for your software for instructions on how to do this.

If your browser displays a security warning: You may need to add dlm.sagenorthamerica.com to your list of trusted sites. Please reference the Help Section in your browser for instructions on how to do this.         

If Download Notifications are not enabled in your browser's security settings: Then your browser's security setting may be blocking file downloads without displaying any notification. Please reference the Help Section in your browser for instructions on how to change this.

Where does the Sage Download Manager save my files?

You will be able to choose a location on your computer where to save your files. By default, files are stored to your desktop.

Can the download process be paused and resumed at a later time?

Yes, if you are using the Sage Download Manager you have the ability to pause a file download, however, some network configurations may prevent you from pausing and later resuming a download.

The Sage Download Manager will present a warning dialogue if it detects that your download cannot be resumed. You will then be provided with the option to continue the download or to cancel the download and start over from the beginning at a later time.


 

If I cancel a download or lose my connection, do I need to restart the download process from the beginning?

 No, you can restart the download process from the point it stopped, however, some network configurations may prevent you from being able to this. To restart a failed download, double click on the Sage Download Manager icon stored on your desktop or click on the original link again.
